Rabbits can get bored from sitting in a cage all day so toys are a good idea to keep them busy so they have something to do when you aren't there to play with them. Below are some toy ideas. If you have another idea for a rabbit toy that's not on this page tell me about it and I will post it here.

Here are some toys that rabbit's like to play with:
paper towel rolls
golf or ping-pong balls
plastic bottles and lids
plastic baby toy keys
plastic cat toys
wooden blocks

Cardboard House
Here's something you can make. Get a cardboard box that is big enough for your rabbit to fit in and cut a hole in one side of it for a door (or both sides). Then cut a few windows out. Your rabbit will love sitting on top of it, sleeping inside of it, or gnawing the holes bigger. If your cardboard house isn't too big, you can put it in your rabbit's pen and he can play in it all the time.

Paper Roll Present Toy

This is a rabbit toy that we made at my rabbit 4-H club and my rabbit liked it so much I thought I should post it on here :) First get a cardboard roll (you can use toilet paper or towl tubes or you can cut up the tube from a wrapping paper roll) and stuff it with hay. Then put in a treat like a piece of dried papaya, dried banana, or dried pineapple (you can buy these at health or grocery stores). Then take some white tissue paper - the kind used for gifts, and wrap up the cardboard roll. Tie both ends closed with some natural-type-papery string. Your rabbit will love tearing it open and eating the treats that are inside, including the hay.

Since a rabbit's incisors are always growing it is important to give them something to gnaw on. In the wild rabbits gnaw down their teeth by chewing on logs and things but when a rabbit isn't able to do that their teeth can get too long and cause a lot of problems. A good thing to give your rabbit is a tree limb (from a fruit tree - like apple) or you can buy wooden rabbit toys for them to gnaw on.
