My Other Pets My Favorite Projects

About Me

Hello, my name is Hannah. I am 20 years old, and I live in Pennsylvania, USA. I started in rabbits in 2001 when I got my first rabbit, Fluffy. I have had a lot of other pet rabbits between Fluffy and the ones that I have now but ever since I have been very interested in rabbits, especially rare rabbit breeds. Right now, I raise Lilac rabbits because they have always been my favorite breed. Other breeds I really like are the Beveren, Thrianta, and the American so maybe in the future I'll be able to raise them as well. I spent a long time getting my Lilac rabbits because Lilacs are a rather scarce breed and the breeders were all located pretty far from here. But now I have my very own rabbitry; Little Purples, and lots of little purple bunnies to go along.

My hobbies other than rabbits are drawing, painting, making webpages on the computer, making kimonos and yukatas, building models, growing alum crystals, praciticing Japanese and Kanji, collecting rocks, making Japanese food, and growing plants.

Other things that I like or things about me are:

I am a helper leader in a Rabbit 4-H club called Carrot Crunchers
My favorite color is blue-violet
I love pears and pear trees
My favorite car is a 1991 Pontiac Firebird
I like Star Trek (the TV series from the 1960's - not the new ones)
My birthday is October 25
My favorite season is Spring
I love Hamsters
I took piano lessons for 8 years
I took violin lessons for 7 years
My favorite instrument is the viola - but I don't know how to play mine right yet; it's quite a bit different from a violin!
I like old black and white movies
I am going to study architecture in college
And most of all, I love Japanese!!

If you would like to be friends or have some questions about rabbits I'd like it very much to get an email from you. My email address is : fluffy18951-at-yahoo.com

This is Fluffy, my first rabbit

I went to Japan last Summer

In the summer (2009) my younger sister Mary and I spent 5 weeks in Japan. This was our first trip on an airplane, and first trip to another country. It was really exciting. We went to a language school in Fukuoka called NILS and took Japanese classes. We stayed at an apartment in Minami-ku and walked to school each day. On our free time we explored many places around Fukuoka. We really liked the trains in Japan and often used them to get from place to place. We also got to ride on the Nozomi Shinkansen (the fastest Bullet Train). After we spent 4 weeks in Fukuoka, we went to Yokohama and stayed with my best friend Yuki for a week. She showed us all around Yokahama and took us to see many interesting places. Here are a few pictures from my trip.

This picture is from Fukuoka Tower. The beach is called Momochi Beach and the water is the Genkai Sea.

Dazaifu - A famous shrine in Hakata.

We went to a firework festival in Fukuoka at Ohori Koen. The fireworks lasted for 2 hours! Many people dressed in colorful yukatas. There were many stands set up in the park selling different kinds of food.

In Fukuoka, I went on an expedition with my sister to find the zoo. There were some cute bunnies there. By this time I was pretty lonesome for my bunnies, so I was happy that there were some at the zoo.

This rabbit jumped all the way up here (about 2 feet off the ground) to get to this dish of pellets.

I also went to Virginia this summer with my two sisters. We went camping in the Blueridge Mountains.

My sister Liz and me. We hiked up a mountain called Sharp Top in the Peaks of Otter.
